11. Executive Officer
(a) The Association may have an Executive Director who shall be appointed by the Board. "The Executive Director shall be deemed the Secretary and shall carry out functions normally carried out by the Secretary and Treasurer of the Society".
(b) The duties of the Executive Director shall be: (i) To notify each member of the Association of his/her appointment. (ii) To notify members of each meeting of the Association, to members of the Board and committees of meetings of the Board or the particular committee to which they belong and to give all such notices as may be required by these rules. (iii) To keep a register of members. (iv) To keep records of all proceedings of meetings and attendance of members and the Executive at such meetings. (v) To give notice of any change in the situation of the Association's registered office. (vi) To perform such other duties in relation to the affairs of the Association as from time to time the Board or Chairman may require. (vii) To bank or cause to be banked in the name of the Association all monies received. (viii) To disperse the funds of the Association as may be determined by the Executive. (ix) To keep the Association's book of accounts and prepare the necessary financial accounts and statements. (x) To prepare and forward returns as required by the Societies Act.
(c) The appointment of the Executive Director may be terminated at any time after one month's notice has been given: (i) By the Executive Director to the Board of his/her intention to resign. (ii) By the Board to the Executive Director of its intention to terminate his/her appointment.
